Bereavement and probate storage

Bereavement storage: clear the house on the sale timetable, decide later

When a home has to be cleared before probate completes or a sale goes through, we collect the things the family wants to keep on that postcode's day, store them safely in Oxfordshire, and deliver them later to whoever should have them, anywhere in Britain. A container's worth for six months with both stops is £599, with one invoice to the estate.

Executors are asked to empty a house long before the family has agreed what should happen to its contents. BoxSpeed gives you time. Our crews collect carefully labelled boxes and named items on the area's day, photograph everything at the door, and store it in sealed containers in Oxfordshire. Months later, when the will is settled and people are ready, we deliver each person's share to their own address on their own day.

We work with probate solicitors, house clearance firms and estate agents, and can invoice the estate directly. A named person handles your booking from start to finish.

FAQ

Bereavement: questions

Can you invoice the estate?

Yes. Tell us the executor or solicitor to invoice and we send one itemised invoice for storage and both stops. Payment can be deferred to probate by arrangement.

Can different family members have different things delivered?

Yes. Everything is labelled and photographed at collection. Book separate returns to separate addresses, each on that area's day, and we split the consignment at our warehouse.

Do you clear the whole house?

We store what is being kept. For a full clearance we work alongside clearance partners who handle disposal, donation and recycling; we can introduce one in most areas.
