BoxSpeed is a collect, store and return service for boxes and belongings anywhere in mainland Britain. Every postcode area has a fixed weekly day. We collect on that day with a van and two crew, store everything in our secure warehouse in Oxfordshire, and bring it back on your day to any address you choose.

Standard boxes are £7.95 a month each (£6.95 for boxes 11 to 20, £5.95 from box 21), suitcases and large boxes £11.95, named items like bikes and chairs £14.95, bulky items £24.95. You never pay more than £99 a month per 250 cu ft. Collection is £39 and return is £39, or free when you prepay. The minimum is £29 a month for one month.

Each of the 117 postcode areas we serve has one fixed day of the week. Oxford (OX) is Saturday, Manchester (M) is Tuesday, every London area is Wednesday, Leeds (LS) is Thursday, Bristol (BS) is Friday, Birmingham (B) is Monday. Our vans are in your region on that day every week, which is why we can offer nationwide collection at a small-van price.

Usually within a week. Bookings close three days before the run, so if your day is Wednesday and you book on Monday morning, the earliest date offered is the following Wednesday. Each van-day has a limited number of slots; when a date is full the booking shows the next one.

In our secure, alarmed warehouse in Oxfordshire, in sealed crates and containers with a scan-in and scan-out record for every item. Nobody rummages, and you see your inventory online.

Yes. Return is to any address in any of the 117 areas, on that area's day, for the same £39. Store in Manchester in June and get it back in London in September.

Boxes, suitcases, bags, bikes, chairs, TVs, small tables, mattresses, small sofas, cabinets and desks. Anything up to about 100 cu ft per collection books instantly; larger consignments are confirmed by email before your day. No food, liquids, plants, batteries loose, flammables, cash, documents of identity or anything illegal. See what we cannot store.

Every item is covered to £100 while in our care. You can raise that to £500 an item for £1 a box a month, or declare higher values before collection. See cover and claims.

One month. After that you pay monthly and stop whenever you book your return. Prepay four months and collection is free; prepay nine and both stops are free.

Yes. Double-walled boxes, tape and labels can be added to your booking and arrive with the van a week before your collection where the route allows, or by post. Your own boxes are fine as long as they are sealed and under 25 kg.

Log in to your inventory (the link is in every email), choose a return address anywhere in our 117 areas, pick a date on that area's day, pay £39. We text a window the evening before and deliver with two crew.

Yes. Book another collection on your day. It joins your existing inventory and the monthly price is recalculated.

We wait ten minutes and call. If nobody is there and nothing is ready, we come back the following week and charge the collection fee again. Nominate a neighbour or a flatmate over 18 if you cannot be there.

Card by default. Estates, partners and businesses can be invoiced monthly by arrangement.

Yes. Only you and the crew handling your consignment see your item list and photographs. We do not open sealed boxes unless the law requires it.

Self storage gives you a unit and leaves the van, the lifting and the visits to you. BoxSpeed collects, stores and returns; you never visit. For a few boxes to a small room's worth it is usually cheaper and always easier. For a whole house, or if you need to pop in every week, self storage suits better.
