How it works

Your postcode's day, our van, two crew, and a warehouse in Oxfordshire

BoxSpeed collects boxes and belongings on the fixed weekly day for your postcode area, stores them in sealed crates in Oxfordshire, and returns them on your day to any address in mainland Britain. Booking takes two minutes and there is nothing to carry.

Every area has one fixed day of the week. You see your day and the next four dates in a second. No quote requests, no callbacks.

Count your boxes

Boxes, suitcases, bikes, chairs, a mattress. The price updates as you count: £7.95 a box, £39 collection, never more than £99 a month per 250 cu ft.

We collect and carry

Two crew arrive in the window we text you the evening before, scan every label, photograph the condition, and carry everything out. Thirty minutes, usually less.

Stored in Oxfordshire

Sealed crates and containers in an alarmed warehouse with a scan in and out for every item. Your inventory is online. Monthly billing from the day we collect.

Returned on your day, anywhere

Book a return to any address in our 117 areas on that area's day for £39. The same crew standards, the same photographs, signed for at the door.

Rules

The rules that keep the price low

  • Your day is your day. Collections and returns only happen on your area's weekday. That is the whole reason a doorstep collection in Aberdeen costs £39.
  • Slots are limited. Each van-day takes a fixed number of stops. When a date is full, the booking shows the next one. Book early for June and August.
  • Bookings close three days before. Our routes are planned on the Friday for the week ahead.
  • Packed, sealed, labelled. Boxes under 25 kg, sealed top and bottom, with our labels on. Our crew brings spares. See the packing guide.
  • Up to about 100 cu ft books instantly. Larger consignments book the same way and we confirm the crew and any container pricing by email before your day.
  • Ground floor or lift included. Stairs above the first floor add £20 a stop. Tell us at booking.
FAQ

Questions people ask

How quickly can you collect?

Usually within a week. Bookings close three days before the run, so if your day is Wednesday and you book on Monday morning, the earliest date offered is the following Wednesday. Each van-day has a limited number of slots; when a date is full the booking shows the next one.

Where are my things stored?

In our secure, alarmed warehouse in Oxfordshire, in sealed crates and containers with a scan-in and scan-out record for every item. Nobody rummages, and you see your inventory online.

Can I get my things back somewhere else?

Yes. Return is to any address in any of the 117 areas, on that area's day, for the same £39. Store in Manchester in June and get it back in London in September.

Do you supply boxes?

Yes. Double-walled boxes, tape and labels can be added to your booking and arrive with the van a week before your collection where the route allows, or by post. Your own boxes are fine as long as they are sealed and under 25 kg.
