Pack it once, pack it right

Good packing is the difference between a smooth collection and a second visit. Here is what our crews ask for.

Boxes

• Standard box: 51 x 41 x 31 cm, double walled, under 25 kg. Books on the bottom, light things on top, no gaps.
• Seal every box top and bottom with proper packing tape. No open tops, no bags of loose items.
• Label every box with the BoxSpeed label we email you (QR code and a number). Our crew brings spares.
• Fragile items wrapped individually in paper or bubble wrap, box marked FRAGILE on two sides.

Suitcases and bags

• Suitcases zipped and, if possible, locked. Holdalls closed. Each counts as one large item.

Named and bulky items

• Bikes: pedals in, tyres pumped, nothing loose. Chairs and small tables: legs off if they come off, wrapped in a blanket or bubble wrap.
• Mattresses in a mattress bag (we sell them). Sofas and cabinets wrapped in blanket or film.
• TVs in the original box or wrapped with the screen protected. Declare the value.

On the day

• Everything ready by the door or in one room. We text you a two hour window the evening before.
• Be there, or nominate someone over 18 with your booking reference.
• Ground floor or lift is included. Stairs above the first floor without a lift add £20 a stop; tell us at booking.

Not allowed

Food, liquids, plants, loose batteries, gas or flammables, cash, passports and identity documents, medicines, anything illegal, anything alive. Full list on what we cannot store.
